To tie in with the front room theme of wood and green I spruced up an old printer tray to fit in (totally inspired by my super sister-in-law!).
The funny thing about this was I had the idea and knew we had a print tray that had been lying around for years and when I went to get it all g’d up with the idea it was nowhere to be found….because we had thrown it out during the move!!! So I ended up buying another one! Only cost a tenner and I feel the results are more than worth it.
So after a brush down – you can’t get them wet due to the blotting paper on the back – a sand, another brush and dust off. I used ‘Bullseye’ a fantastic undercoat and stainblock for all types of surface – its expensive but great.
Then I was off ….I used James White by Farrow and Ball (leftover from our hall in our last house). Then I used tester pot colours which I remixed to create new colours to suit.
It took HOURS of painting and many coats but finally it was done!!!!!
So here are the pics:
and TA DA!
The best it was filling it with lots of lovely treasures.
