Ssshhh it’s a surprise pressie…

I’m dying to share what I have been working on recently but it’s a very special wedding present for a friend and I can’t post it in case she sees…will update the post next week with pictures and description. I will say it’s from my Tilda Springtime book.

***Update**

The wedding is tomo and I doubt very much that this will be seen before then..its a tea cosy with their names and date on.

Auntie Pams Cake Stand

Auntie Pam brought me a really cute fairy cake stand from America….time to get baking again just to fill it! I love it….it’s darling!

Family Reunion Cakes

Yesterday was our tri-annual family reunion with members coming from Spain, Finland, America and France. it was great to see old faces and a few new ones.

Mum had organised a huge spread of delights which went down a treat. I invested some time the day before making some scrummy cakes for the occasion and I’m so proud of the results I thought I’d put them on here.

Blackcurrant and raspberry cheescake , Raspberry and ground almond cake

Both made from a fab book called ‘Gorgeous Cakes’ by Annie Bell.

New Cute Cards…

In a dreamy haze I lulled myself into truly believing that I need business cards for the wood fair so people can look at my blog and contact me. I spent ages faffing around with the photos, which ones to use, cropping them, adjusting the sharpness etc etc. However, I am extremely pleased with the results as they look very professional and utterly fab (according to me!).

Octopus set

The first finished set….although I’ve had second thoughts about the buttons for eyes as they are a potential hazard which I thought of after adding their prettyness.

Cut, pinned and ready to sew.

After a couple of weeks of rest from sewing due to other commitments I spent some time yesterday cutting out loads of pieces to pin on bibs and babygrows. I have been drawing designs over the past couple of weeks and yesterday I just had to try some out for real. Were having a stand at the wood fair so I have some tree themed ideas and a couple of others for variety. Also working on some more wood fair ideas but my index fingers became numb after hours of cutting out and so I had to stop (still numb today!). I have also started designing emblems for bibs and babygrows.

Felt fabness….I’m inspired
